Advisory Board Members

Meet the dedicated members of our Advisory Board, a group of passionate individuals committed to advancing the mission and vision of Father Vincent Capodanno High School. With diverse expertise and shared faith-driven values, they provide strategic guidance and support to ensure our continued growth and success. Together, they help us nurture students' spiritual, academic, and personal development, staying true to our purpose of forming future leaders.

Michael Humphrey is a seasoned executive with a track record of driving innovation and growth in the education and technology sectors. As President of Education 2020 (later renamed Edgenuity), he transformed the company into a leader in virtual curriculum, culminating in its acquisition in a $50 million transaction. Over his tenure, he played a pivotal role in scaling revenues from under $100,000 to over $30 million in just 30 months. Beyond Edgenuity, Michael co-founded Human Performance Labs, spearheaded strategic development at Compass Learning, and held executive roles at Broadcast.com and Simon & Schuster. A Texas Tech University graduate, Michael has also served on several boards, including US Youth Soccer and Astrotech Corporation. He resides in Austin, Texas, and enjoys mentoring businesses and championing innovative education solutions.

Clay Hutmacher is a retired Major General with a distinguished 40-year career in the United States Army. An Army Special Operations Aviator, he commanded at every level during his tenure, including leading the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and serving as Commanding General of the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command. Following his retirement in 2018, Clay became the President and CEO of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, where he continues his lifelong dedication to service. A native of Wenatchee, Washington, Clay holds degrees in Aerospace Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval Command and Staff College, and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He lives in Tampa, Florida, with his family and enjoys supporting initiatives that honor and assist military families.

Jay Lynch brings decades of expertise in business development and product management, specializing in the outdoor lifestyle industry. Since 1995, he has served as Business Development Manager for Stephen Gould Corporation, where he oversees new product launches, from design to manufacturing and retail placement, for both domestic and international markets. Jay is a proud graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He resides in Dallas, Texas, with his wife and two daughters, where they are active members of their St. Thomas Catholic school community.

Bert Scott is a business leader with over three decades of experience in sales and program development. Since joining Stephen Gould Corporation in 1991, he has managed key client relationships and developed supply chain solutions for domestic and international markets. Passionate about Catholic education, Bert has played a significant role in fundraising campaigns supporting Catholic schools in North Carolina. He also has a long history of coaching varsity basketball at St. Michael the Archangel. Bert, a graduate of SUNY Brockport with a BA in Business Marketing, has been married to Kelly for more than 35 years and is the proud father of four adult children.
